Day 1: Johannesburg – Kasane – Chobe Caprivi
You will arrive in Kasane in Botswana on a flight from Johannesburg and clear immigration before crossing the river into the Caprivi Strip of Namibia. You will be met and transferred to the island where you will be spending the next 3 nights in a beautiful safari lodge under the trees. There will be time to explore the channels and waterways on an afternoon cruise or do a spot of fishing before a spectacular sunset.
Day 2 & 3: Chobe Caprivi
The next 2 days are filled with incredible sights and sounds as you explore the region on activities ranging from boat cruises to nature walks and visits to local villages. There are more than 450 species of birds recorded in the area and the island is alive with the sounds of their calls. The Chobe is renowned for its concentration of Elephants and there is no better way to view them than from a boat as they come down to drink or swim in the river.
For those interested in fishing this remote getaway provides one of the best Tiger fishing experiences in Africa, for it is here where the legendary Tiger fish is found, a species considered to be the ultimate catch for any fishing connoisseur. Day 4: Chobe Caprivi – Kasane – Johannesburg
This is the final day of your Remote Escape Package. Today you will have to leave relatively early, clearing Namibian immigration on the island and crossing the river to Kasane where you will re-enter Botswana.
You will be transferred to the airport in time for your return flight back to Johannesburg O.R. Tambo International Airport, after a truly memorable safari experience.
Fly-in Classic Chobe, Africa Island Package
This is a 4 day fly-in safari package for 2 guests sharing in en-suite accommodation. The package is all inclusive of meals and scheduled activities, flights ex/to Johannesburg O.R. Tambo Airport with set departure days on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday in the late morning to Kasane, and the return flight to Johannesburg in the afternoon.
